After a month-long hiatus, it may be difficult to remember exactly where Supergirl left off in season two. No worries though, because The CW has released a recap video to get you back up to speed before Monday’s return. Therefore, keep a look out for my upcoming posts for The Flash and Arrow, which will be following suit.
WARNING: Spoilers ahead if you aren’t caught up.
When we last watched Supergirl, Kara (Melissa Benoist) finally met the parents of her Daxamite boyfriend, Mon-El (Chris Wood). Mon-El’s parents weren’t as welcoming as Kara was, since they only wanted their son. His mother, Queen Rhea (Teri Hatcher), even went to desperate measures to convince him to return home with her. She secretly killed her husband, King Lar-Gand (Kevin Sorbo) and unsuccessfully tried killing Kara with kryptonite. With Rhea vowing vengeance on Earth, we can expect to see Teri Hatcher again. Let’s call it a dark Superwoman vs. Supergirl moment, one I can’t wait to see.
Meanwhile, Kara’s father, Jeremiah Danvers (Dean Cain), reappeared after a ten-year absence in order to steal the National Alien Registry for Lillian Luthor (Brenda Strong) in a bid to keep his daughters safe. Watch the full spring recap video below:
Now going into the last five episodes of season two, we can expect to see Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) return for the last two episodes of the season, and Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) return for the season finale. Plus, there is a big surprise in store for Alex (Chyler Leigh) and her girlfriend Maggie (Floriana Lima).
