In “Uprising,” players travel seven years into Overwatch’s past, witnessing a flashpoint in the conflict between omnics and humans. On the eve of a historic peace accord, King’s Row is seized by an extremist faction of robots known as ‘Null Sector.’ The British government forbids Overwatch from interceding, which means Strike Commander Jack Morrison must decide whether to disobey orders or stand by while thousands of lives are in peril.
Finally, a new Overwatch event is here to satiate the thirst of players like me who yearn constantly for new skins, game modes and that sort of thing. “Uprising” brings a whole new game mode to the mix: an Arcade brawl that’s similar to the Halloween mode “Junkenstein’s Revenge.” Experience a pivotal moment in history from before the fall of Overwatch. Join a strike team of Overwatch agents—including the newest recruit, Tracer—as they undertake a vital mission to stop an omnic uprising in King’s Row. Drop into the action and play as one of the four charged with completing this critical objective. This mode is Tracer’s first mission with the Overwatch team, as the lowly Cadet Oxton, eager to please her new commander and the rest of the Overwatch guardians.
Journey seven years into the past and join a group of Overwatch agents fighting through the streets of King’s Row to quell an uprising led by Null Sector, a rogue group of omnics. Team up with your friends and play as Tracer, Torbjörn, Reinhardt, or Mercy to defeat the robots and liberate the city. There are no reinforcements. Failure is not an option. The future depends on you.
Let’s cut to the chase and have a look at the new content!
Torbjorn “My Baby” (750)
D.Va “Selfie” (750)
Zenyatta “Perspective” (750)
Hanzo “Training” (750)
Soldier 76 “Push-ups” (750)
Pharah “Flair” (750)
Personally, I’m going to hoard my coins and spend them on the D.Va “Selfie” highlight intro and the Mercy skin (if I don’t get them from any of the Uprising lootboxes, that is).
