The League has never looked better.
We are just days away from seeing the Justice League join forces on the big screen, and to keep the excitement at a constant high, a bundle of six new international character posters have been released.
The posters, which feature all members of the super-team (yes, including Henry Cavill’s Superman), first surfaced on Imgur. Highlighting the heroes’ dynamic profiles, the stunning posters are done entirely in watercolor and keep a muted black and white color palette across the board. However, the artist did make the choice to throw a pop of color into the background of each poster, painting the heroes’ insignias behind them.
Take a look at the new posters at the end of this article.
DC and Warner Bros. have had no problem promoting the upcoming superhero flick to Stateside audiences, but the overseas film market–especially China–is a more crucial territory to capture and captivate with clever advertisement. The Chinese movie market has long been one of the largest and most important to the international success of a film in the world, so it’s little wonder that Justice League got a big push in the East Asian country and that the creatives there are responding with art like this. Previous DC films have performed quite well in China, with both Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Wonder Woman pulling in about $90 million from Chinese box offices alone, and it’s expected that Justice League will see the same–or perhaps even better–results.
Directed by both Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon, Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, and Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman. Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Amber Heard, Connie Nielsen, Julian Lewis Jones, Ciarán Hinds, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons, and Willem Dafoe round out the cast.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Justice League is due out in theaters on November 17.
